RAQUEL G. PEREZ

For more than 25 years, Raquel G. Perez has practiced labor and employment law and personal injury law. She litigates and defends cases in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings, and regularly appears before federal and state administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Texas Workforce Commission, and the United States Department of Labor.

Raquel counsels and represents management in a range of employment and personal injury matters, including, but not limited to:

Her extensive litigation experience includes jury trials, arbitrations, and summary judgement proceedings involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family & Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, negligence claims, breach of contract actions, and other complex issues pertaining to the workplace.

As an additional service to her employer clients, she offers on-site labor and employment seminars and human resources training sessions. Furthermore, she counsels and represents management on a wide range of employment matters such as harassment investigations, wage and hour compliance, personnel policies, employee handbooks, medical leaves of absence, and alternative dispute resolution programs, among other subjects.

A gifted public speaker who is fluent in Spanish, Raquel frequently receives invitations to share her knowledge on employment law at human resources management conferences throughout Texas.
